La 1 septembrie 2026, în imediata vecinătate a pârtiilor de schi de la Cavnic, am fotografiat o viespe; pe un grup despre viespi sociale, pe baza pozelor Leopoldo Castro scrie: The one on the leaf, a female, appears to be P. nimpha (the colour pattern is wrong for P. dominula: the antennae are very dark above [something that never happens in P. dominula], and the yellow markings on the pronotum [first segment of the „thorax”] are also different from those of P. dominula); mai apoi, pe același grup Simeon Indzhov scrie: The female is Polistes nimpha. Deci avem în imagine o femelă de Polistes nimpha.
